CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Phone rings. It’s, Xavier. I take a deep sigh, not knowing what to say when i see him, then walk out of my house watching my feet hit the driveway. There’s a thumping coming from his car.

“What’s up, Lepre-Corn?” as he manually rolls down the window on the passenger side. He drove an old car. “What it be like, gangster of love?”

Ouch, man. He had, i guess, a cast thing on his nose. it looked like white metal with two strips of tape keeping it on his face. His eyes, or at least the area around his eye, was completely purple. And yet, he had the biggest smile on his face. A wide, bright, smile I hadn’t seen him wear in a really, really, really, long time.

I couldn’t help but smile myself. “Nothing much, Xavier.” He always had a way to make someone feel better no matter what was going on. Whether it was

*** it’s a drive on the freeway. these two talk. xavier starts talking abotu molecules and elements and 2012 and all this weird shit. corn watches the city change as they leave the north and come down to the south. then they arrive at good old oneals. ***

*** chapter 18. as they walk into oneals, they notice a lot of things have changed. new waitresses, new bartenders and a shit load of people. not like how it was before, supposed to have been set up earlier. a couple of those people are here though, trying to relive and recapture what they once were. xavier walks up to them and basically berates them for not evolving and that they are wasting time and that they are weak. and then corn and xavier find a seat to wait for erick. good old erick. ***

 *** chapter 19. possibles – 1) jaycie comes in and tells xavier erick isn’t coming. something came up with the kid. jaycie and him start talking and get into a fight. 2) erick comes in. xavier reveals his plan and erick ain’t feeling it. they get into a fight. xavier gets his ass kicked again. 3) erick comes and likes the idea. they set in motion what’ll become the new artistic revolution. they talk about green awnings and unused barbecue pits. like before, but this time there is a plan and endurance. and a lot of money. we’ll see which one. i’m feeling 3rd option.

*** chapter 20. corn and xavier get into the car. corn starts hearing briggs voice. there is no time. there is no time. kill him. xaiver is telling corn he wants ot take corn with him to the highest precipice possible, achieving bankai, evolving to the next stage, unfortunately leaving people behind, that’s just the nature of molecules, and then corn hits xavier in the face. corn is upset. he keeps hitting xavier. but he hits like a girl so nothing happens. xavier is like wha…? so corn, reasoning with himself about life and all the changes in it, he takes the wheel and crashes the car. ***

*** chapter 21. he wakes up in his room. a month later. broken leg in a cast. he turns on his computer. in the reflection of the computer, he sees briggs face melding with his. then he jumps on the game. find bob and only bob. who is talking to a girl. flirting, wanting to get with her and shit. she says wanna move to san francisco? he says, pay for it. she says sure. bob says to corn, well i’m out, yo! just then, corn gets a celly call form xavier. corn sends it to voicemail. and goes off to kill legion. the hunter is the best character. because you get to play with yourself. well, you know what i mean. ***
